<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when printing is carried out after sending exclusive printing data for making sure the printing quality, since the exclusive printing data also includes a pattern paying attention to the actual paper feed direction, the data should be sent by confirming the printing direction designation in the printing data after confirming the relation between the length and width of actually set papers, and by changing the designation if necessary, thus resulting in poor working efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A printer controller which receives printing data from a host system and controls a printing operation by controlling a printer engine is provided with the function of instructing for the printing direction to the paper feed direction from an operation panel, and the function of storing instructed contents and controlling the development direction of page image data with the value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
