<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform cleaning of a filter efficiently through a simple arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: The foreign matter remover 21 comprises a filter 30, a normal channel 31 for passing ink during normal use, a cleaning channel 32 for passing ink during cleaning operation of the filter 30, and a first choking member 33 for blocking passage of ink to the normal channel 31 and introducing ink to the cleaning channel.
