PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooker capable of teaching a suitable position of a heating and cooking ware to a heating coil by announcement for easy use by a person including a visually handicapped person. SOLUTION: In this induction heating cooker, high frequency current is fed to the heating coil 1, and a pan 2 placed on the heating coil 1 and electromagnetically connected to the heating coil 1 is heated according to the electromagnetic coupling degree. The induction heating cooker is provided with an energization characteristic detection means 3 detecting energization characteristic values, which vary according to the electromagnetic coupling degree, such as an electric current on the input/output side of the heating coil, a voltage, and electric power and an announcement means 8 announcing the energization characteristic values detected momently and/or their varied conditions to the outside for teaching variation of approach to, passage by, and movement away from the suitable position of the pan 2 with respect to the heating coil 1 and the suitable position.
