PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically reduce the burden on a transmitting terminal device side in relaying and transferring e-mail to a receiving terminal device from the transmitting terminal device through an e-mail server device. SOLUTION: This e-mail server device 31 is provided with a RAM 107 that stores a facsimile transfer instruction table 107a including a destination selecting method and a transfer instructing method corresponding to a plurality of repeaters. Its main control part 1 refers to the destination selecting method of the facsimile transfer instruction table 107a on the basis of the destination of received e-mail to select Internet facsimile machines 20A, 20B and 20C being repeaters, and transmits e-mail including a relay instruction described by the transfer instructing method based on the facsimile transfer instruction table 107a to the Internet facsimile machines being the selected repeaters.
