PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detecting device which can accurately measure a specific ingredient (smell or the like) contained in a surrounding gas desired to be measured, which facilitates to constitute in a compact and mobile type or which can be reduced in noise and size. SOLUTION: A zero gas cylinder 9 as a zero gas supply means and respective component parts are arranged in a housing 2. Test gas in which external surrounding gas of the housing 2 is introduced via a duct 12a and zero gas to be supplied from the cylinder 9 are alternatively introduced into a sensor 7, the test gas is measured by using a syringe 3 as a gas suction/exhaust means, and operations of these parts are controlled by a data processing unit 11. Thus, measured results of these gases are relatively compared at respective measurements, the test gas can be accurately measured, the gas detecting device 1 is moved to a job site desired to be measured, and the test gas can be measured. Further, amounts of suction/exhaust gases are made constant by a cylinder mechanism having a low noise, and the device can be reduced in size. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
