<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can form and fix a smooth film of a hydrophilic polymer having a uniform thickness on a surface of a medical guide wire by using a relatively simple apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for forming the medical guide wire film includes a lower base, a plurality of struts stood substantially vertically on the base, an upper plate for fixing upper ends of the plurality of the struts, at least one moving plate vertically movably supported to the struts, an elevation mechanism for vertically moving the moving plate, a gripper provided at the upper plate for gripping the end of the guide wire so as to vertically suspend the guide wire, and a moving cell mounted on the moving plate so as to insert the vertically suspended guide wire in a vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
