<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely enable communications by following the same procedure as that of the communication between network devices connected to a home network inside a house even if the network device is connected to the network outside the house. <P>SOLUTION: The safety of the communication is secured by using a common encrypting parameter inside the house stored by each network device in the network inside the house. A common encrypting parameter used between home gateways is stored and used in the network communication outside the house. When communicating with the network device outside the house, after a packet encrypted by the common encrypting parameter inside the house is decrypted by the home gateway, the packet is re-encrypted by the common encrypting parameter used between the home gateways and transmitted. By this, it enables the individual network device to communicate with the network devices outside the house with entirely the same procedure as that of the communication inside the house. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
