<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric discharge mechanism of an economical electric dust collecting apparatus with a good electric discharge-shutting property without requiring parts for preventing excess electric discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The electric discharge mechanism comprises a U-shaped cathode plate member composed by connecting mutually facing cathode plates to each other through a cathode contact plate and an anode plate composed by connecting an anode contact plate to one end of an anode plate installed at an approximately middle position between mutually facing cathode plates. The anode contact plate is positioned in the opened side of the U-shaped cathode plate member and on the opposite to the cathode contact plate at a proper distance so as to prevent the occurrence of the electric discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
