PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying paste flux to respective parts of a positive electrode lug 2a and a negative electrode lug 2b in a laminate 1 used for a control valve type lead storage battery. SOLUTION: On a rotatable belt 4 having the paste flux 5 applied on the surface, the positive electrode lug 2a and the negative electrode lug part 2b are pressed, so that the paste flux 5 is applied to them. The paste flux 5 applied to the belt 4 is sent through a squeegee 6 provided with a heater 7, so that the temperature of the paste flux 5 is regulated to keep its viscosity constant, and that its thickness is regulated within a prescribed range. The paste flux 5 is supplied from above the belt 4 using a supply device 28 to push it out as pressurized by a piston 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
