PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound power generation element and a compound power generation system in which power generation outputs of a thermionic power generator, and a plurality of alkali metal thermoelectric transducers and a flow of heat are connected in series. SOLUTION: The miniaturized and efficient compound power generation element is composed of the thermionic power generator and the alkali metal thermoelectric transducers, by connecting the thermionic power generator and the plurality of alkali metal thermoelectric transducers electrically in series and matching thermal coupling between the both. Besides, the compound power generation system is provided in which a large voltage or electric current is extracted by connecting the compound power generation elements in series and/or in parallel.
