PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk loading mechanism for a disk player capable of handling a disk with a simple operation. SOLUTION: The disk loading mechanism for a disk player includes a turntable to set a disk thereon, an opening, and a disk mounting base formed below the opening to include the turntable. The disk mounting base can be lowered. The conventional burdensome work of an operator to hold a disk for a while to set it is eliminated and the disk treatment is made easier.
