The laser may form incised lettering on the transparent glass slab (3) which is held in an upright position, standing on one of its narrow edges. The edge fits into a groove (2) in a horizontal rectangular foundation slab (1). The edge of the slab is held in place by friction. The length of the slab may be equal to the length of the bottom edge of the glass slab.
