PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact switch which is devised so that minute power can be taken even in case that a semiconductor switch element is ON, using, for example, a semiconductor switch element for a switch, and further which is stable in action and can downsize an instrument, too. SOLUTION: This noncontact switch 10 is equipped with a switch box 11 and turns on or turns off an electric apparatus 30 attached and connected in series to a wall or a pole by means of a switch means. The switch 10 has a reflective optical sensor 29 which is provided with a light receiving unit 27 and a light projecting unit 28 on the surface side of the switch box 11, the above-mentioned semiconductor switch element 32 which performs ON and OFF by the operation of the optical sensor 29, and a power source 34 which obtains minute power from both ends of the semiconductor switch element 32 even if the semiconductor switch element 32 is ON in addition to the OFF state of the semiconductor switch element 32.
