PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system to be used for induction heating for quickly, uniformly, selectively, and controllably heating a non-magnetic and non-electric conductive material on the spot. SOLUTION: Particles as an essence for the improved use of induction heating are added to matrix exposed to a high frequency AC electromagnetic field generated by an induction coil. The particles are ferromagnetic, and have high permeability and high electric conductivity. The heat generating coefficient of the particles when exposed to an AC magnetic field allows a small volume ratio of the particles in the matrix, leaving desired characteristics of an article essentially unchanged. The particles shall preferably have thin forms such as plates. This form includes first, second and third sizes perpendicular to each other. The first and the second sizes perpendicular to each other are larger than the surface depth of each particle, and at least 5 times the third size perpendicular to them. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
