PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator landing apparatus not tampered with in the landing apparatus having a fire accident extension prevention mechanism for fire and smoke. SOLUTION: A covering plate 12 is installed between a landing side upper plate 3a and a car side upper plate 3b so that a weight 9 is usually hidden from the view of elevator passengers so as to increase a designability and prevent the apparatus from being tempered with. At the time of a fire, the covering plate 12 is rotated or ruptured, and a clearance is produced between these two sheets of upper plates.
