<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a program for controlling a printer, and a recording medium, which facilitate selection of a sheet for utilizing paper resources effectively. <P>SOLUTION: A personal computer 50 accepts a print request according to a printer driver 51. When a resource saving mode is selected in single side printing, the personal computer 50 designates a third sheet feed cassette containing sheets printed on one side and enlarges/contracts an image in accordance with the size of that print sheet. The personal computer 50 creates image data by performing image conversion of the image data and transmits the print data to a printer 10 while adding designation of the third sheet feed cassette and single side printing to its header. The CPU 31 in the printer 10 delivers a drive control signal to a sheet feed drive motor 43 corresponding to the third sheet feed cassette set in the print data and drives a third sheet feed roller to feed the print sheet printed on one side from the third sheet feed cassette to a printer 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
