<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display whose display quality can be enhanced by preventing light leakage from a reflector. <P>SOLUTION: Light emitted from a light source 1 is introduced in a first light guide 2, emitted from a light emission part 22, made incident in a second light guide 4, introduced in the second light guide 4 and emitted as illuminating light for illuminating a liquid crystal display element. A reflector 3 having apertures 3b and 3c making parts of the first light guide 2 correspond to a light incidence part 21 and the light emission part 22, respectively, in the function of the first light guide 2 has a role for reflecting leakage light from the first light guide 2 and making the light incident again in the first light guide 2. Since the reflection body 3 has a housing part 3a which can house and shielding a gate 2a protruding from the first light guide 2, leakage light from the part except the light incidence part 21 and the light emission part 22 of the first light guide 2 can be effectively shielded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
