PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress creaking generated in an inverter circuit of a PWM type fluorescent tube lighting device. SOLUTION: The fluorescent tube lighting device comprises a fluorescent tube, and an inverter means including at least a boosting means, a resonance means, and a switching means. A PWM signal is inputted in the inverter means, thereby controlling light adjustment. In the fluorescent tube lighting device, a light adjusting means regulating at least the starting time of the PWM signal added to the inverter means is provided.
