PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for preventing the elution of metal from molten solids obtained by melting and solidifying the residue of ash etc., produced by incinerating combustibles or by melting and solidifying the combustibles. SOLUTION: In the method for preventing the elution of the metal from the molten solids of combustibles, the molten solids produced by melting and solidifying the residue of ash etc., produced by incinerating the combustibles or by melting and solidifying the combustibles are brought into contact with water in which alkali metal carbonate is dissolved.
