PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insertion tube structure which can increase the effective inner diameter by reducing the filling rate at the connection part of a bending section and a flexible pipe part. SOLUTION: In the insertion tube structure of the endoscope in which an end curved segment, on the side of the flexible pipe part, of the bending section is connected to an end cap, on the side of the bending section, of the flexible pipe part with a link pipe, the link pipe is provided with a part, circular in the cross section, which gets the end cap, circular in the cross section, of the flexible pipe part fitted onto the outer circumference thereof, an outward flange for regulating the insertion depth of the end cap and a non-circular section alternately having a small-diameter part and a large-diameter part in the circumferential direction. The end curved segment, circular in the cross section, is provided with a relief recessed part for the large-diameter part of the link pipe and a protruded part to be fitted onto the outer circumference of the small-diameter part.
