The bearing device is for an expansion engine (10) with a water supply pump (20), a steam generator (26) and a driven part (12). The driven part is in a fluid-dynamic slip bearing (14, 16) in which the fluid is water from the supply, going to the bearing via a branch line from the supply line in which the supply pump is fitted.
