PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge/discharge a secondary battery with stability even if the temperature of the secondary battery varies. SOLUTION: A controller is for controlling the charging/discharging power of the secondary battery 6 connected with a motor 3. The controller is so constituted that the temperature of the secondary battery 6 is acquired at a plurality of points by a temperature detecting means 10, and the lowest temperature of the acquired temperatures is compared with a predetermined low temperature value and a predetermined high temperature value. Further, if the difference between the highest temperature and the lowest temperature is equal to or above a predetermined value, a constant value independent of temperature is acquired as the upper limit value of charging power. Then, the charging power of the secondary battery 6 is controlled so that the constant value is not exceeded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
