The module has a housing (16) with plastic rotor (24) and steering angle sensor having a coding element (40) fastened non-turnable to the rotor. The element is a flat coding plate, consisting esp. of a metallic material not enclosed by plastic, and held under pre-tension esp. in axial direction. The coding element is clamped between a rotor base part (28) and a driver element (30) and screwed to the driver element. Both parts have flexible projections (66) acting against the coding element when assembled.
