PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for individual users to view the television programs in an optimum environment. SOLUTION: When an operation history register mode is set, a remote controller 202-1 saves the contents operated by a user 203-1 and their operation timings as an operation history. When an operation history utilize mode is set and a broadcast content on a channel being seen by the user 203-1 is switched to a CM, provided that e.g. information showing the channels switched at CM times have been stored as an operating history, the controller 202-1 shows a selecting screen on its display for selecting whether the channel is switched or not. When it is instructed to switch the channel on the selecting screen, a past executed switching of the channel is executed again.
