CARBONIZING METHOD AND CARBONIZING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonizing method and a carbonizing apparatus in which a high-quality carbonized product can efficiently be produced while performing miniaturization of the apparatus by carrying a raw material such as sludge cake under heating and continuously carrying out drying and carbonization when carbonizing the raw material. SOLUTION: A charging feeder 23 for feeding sludge cake and a carbonized product-charging feeder 26 for feeding the carbonized product are connected to a charging pump 24 for a raw material feed unit 2 arranged on a front stage side of a carbonizing unit 3. A part of the carbonized product produced by the carbonizing unit 3 is fed to the carbonized product-charging feeder 26 by a returning line 5 of the carbonized product. Stickiness of the sludge cake is lowered and adhesion of the sludge cake to the inner walls of a drying cylinder 33 and a carbonizing cylinder 34 of the carbonizing unit 3 is prevented by mixing the sludge cake with the carbonized product in the charging pump 24. As a result, uniform quantity of heat is given to the whole sludge cake to provide the high-quality carbonized product. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
