<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method therefor which can recognize each internal organ in the body from an ultrasonic video signal automatically. <P>SOLUTION: A first feature vector spout 4 which takes out a first feature vector from an input ultrasonic video signal, a database 5 which stores a list consisting of a predetermined internal organ classification and two or more ultrasonic images on each of the internal organ classification, a second feature vector spout 7 which takes out a second feature vector from the ultrasonic image to each of the predetermined internal organ classification, a mean vector and standard deviation vector resolution section 8 which calculate the mean vector and standard deviation vector of the second feature vector to each of the predetermined internal organ classification, and a controller 9 which chooses any one of mean vectors based on the mean vector and standard deviation vector to the ultrasonic image of the first feature vector and the predetermined internal organ classification, and determines the internal organ corresponding to the selected mean vector as the internal organ corresponding to the input ultrasonic video signal, are included. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
