RUBBER MODIFIED STYRENE RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A rubber modified styrene flame retardant resin composition is provided, to improve the heat stability and the weather resistance and to prevent the discoloration due to the heat or light and the deterioration of mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION: The rubber modified styrene resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight a rubber modified styrene-based resin; 0.2-20 parts by weight of a flame retardant comprising 0.1-10 parts by weight of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of tetrabromobisphenol-A-bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether) and hexabromocyclododecane, and 0.1-10 parts by weight of a brominated epoxy oligomer; and 0.1-3 parts by weight of calcium stearate as a lubricant. Preferably the rubber modified styrene-based resin is prepared by polymerizing a rubbery polymer and a vinyl-based aromatic monomer, and has an average particle diameter of 0.5-6 micrometers and a maximum glass transition temperature of -10 deg.C. Preferably the brominated epoxy oligomer is represented by the formula, wherein n is an integer of 0-10.
