PURPOSE: A sun visor retainer of a vehicle is provided to simply operate the sun visor with small operating force and to prolong the life span of the retainer. CONSTITUTION: A sun visor retainer of a vehicle comprises a retainer body(24), a support part-fixing unit(28), and a locking unit(32). The retainer body is fixed to a head lining(3) and the retainer body forms an open part(25) on a side and forms the bottom surface as a support surface. A groove(27) is formed to the upper part of the open part. The support part-fixing unit integrally forms support protrusions(29). A coil spring(30) is wound around one of the support protrusions and the ends of the support protrusion are fixed to the inner wall of the groove and to the support part-fixing unit. An arc-shaped support groove(31) is formed to the support part-fixing unit. The locking unit comprises a fixing protrusion(33) and a latch(34). The fixing protrusion is integrally formed to the support part-fixing unit. The latch is installed to the groove.
