PURPOSE: A method for detecting coolant leakage in a kimchi refrigerator by continuously checking the temperature of a coolant whenever a compressor is operated is provided. It enables the temperature of the kimchi refrigerator to be stably maintained and dose not allow the operation of the compressor. CONSTITUTION: A coolant leakage detecting method comprises the steps of: measuring the inside temperature of a kimchi refrigerator prior to the operation of a compressor; measuring the inside temperature of the kimchi refrigerator after the operation of the compressor for a predetermined time; comparing temperature difference between prior to and after the operation of the compressor; and determining the coolant leakage according to the compared temperature difference.
