PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guide system for vehicle in which a recommended route can be calculated quickly. SOLUTION: A vehicle side route guide unit 11 comprises a system control section 43 for calculating and comparing a vehicle side time Tm required for calculating a route on the vehicle side, and a center side time Tf which is the sum of a time required for transmitting a vehicle position data and a goal position data from the vehicle side to the external center side, a time required for calculating a route on the external center side, and a time required for returning a route calculation result data back to the vehicle side. Any one unit for calculating a route in a shorter time is selected, based on the comparison results. |
