PURPOSE: A real estate intermediation system and a method for the same are provided to offer locally characteristic and certified data on real estate to a user over a network so that it can make a real estate transaction stable and reliable. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a real estate data management database(133), a real estate agency data management database(136), a processing server(14), plural branch servers(10), and a main server. The database(133) stores data on real estate registered for sale. The database(136) stores data on real estate agencies locally distributed. If a real estate seller requests a registration of data on the real estate for sale, the processing server(14) offers the data to plural terminals of real estate agencies located at corresponding areas, requests them to assess the real estate, and registers the data on the real estate according to an assessment result. The branch servers(10), located at local areas, are connected to the seller terminals, buyer terminals, and agency terminals over a network. The main server enables the branch servers to exchange data with themselves(10).
