Feedstuffs for livestock or poultry include a 51-nucleotide, for example cytidine-51-monophosphate, adenosine-51-monophosphate, guanosine-51-monophosphate, uridine-51-monophosphate, inosine-51-monophosphate, or salts thereof, whereby the feed conversion and growth rate of the livestock or poultry may be improved. Livestock, particularly pig, milk substitutes containing the 51-nucleotide are particularly suitable for weaning the young livestock. |
