PURPOSE: A composition for eliminating green algae and red algae having effects of dissolved oxygen increase, elimination of nutrient sources and bottom property improvement is provided to minimize damage of green algae and red algae by effectively eliminating green algae and red algae, and a method for eliminating green algae and red algae using the composition is provided. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises a synthesized peroxide comprising one or more of metal peroxides selected from the group consisting of metal oxides and metal hydroxides, wherein the metal peroxides are one or more peroxides selected from the group consisting of metal oxides and metal hydroxides, and the metal peroxides are products of oxidation and reduction reactions according to synthesis of the peroxides, wherein the composition further comprises a coagulant for coagulating microorganisms of green algae and red algae so that the coagulated microorganisms are precipitated, wherein the composition further comprises ocher, wherein the metal in the metal oxides, metal hydroxides and metal peroxides is an alkali metal, alkali earth metal, silicon, aluminum, magnesium or calcium, wherein the peroxide is hydrogen peroxide, organic acid or inorganic acid, and wherein the reaction is performed by adding at least one or more additives selected from the group consisting of liquid phase sodium silicate, air, phosphoric acid, carbonic acid and carbon dioxide.
