A guide rail (5) for a linear bearing, comprising several through openings which extend from the surface of the rail (3) and are disposed behind each other at a distance from each other in the longitudinal direction of said rail for receiving fastening elements, in addition to a longitudinal groove (11) which extends along the entire length of the guide rail (5) in an open position with respect to the surface of said guide rail (3), whereby a closing body is partially or fully inserted therein and externally covers the through openings, said body being pressed into the guide rail (5) by means of elastic deformation and being secured therein as a result of the readjusting spring force. According to the invention, the closing body is comprised of an outer covering strip (7) in relation to guide rail (5) and an inner clamping strip (8) secured thereto, having clamping limbs (10) and spacers (9) which are arranged between the covering strip (7) and the clamping limbs (10).
