PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transmitter of an elevator capable of surely and quickly transmitting data related with the safety of an elevator. SOLUTION: The data to be transmitted are divided into first data related with the safety of an elevator, second data related with control, and third data unrelated with control. Also, this data transmitter is provided with packet generating means 40 and 90 for generating a packet where a plurality of data including at least the first data are combined and safety signal CRC code generating means 42 and 92 for generating the safety signal CRC code of the first data. The first data related with the safety of the elevator whose significance is high are preferentially generated in all the packets so as to be surely and quickly transmitted. Also, the first data whose significance is high are independently added with a safety signal CRC code, and a bit error is detected, and the same data are re-transmitted at the time of detecting the bit error so that the first data can be much more surely transmitted/received.
