PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information supply system and an information supply method for reducing costs required for using an external server and an ASP service by lessening the dependence on the external server when supplying information, and utilizing various information by another application program on a terminal of an information provider. SOLUTION: A terminal 3 at an information provider side stores various information and transmits a file attached with the own IP address to a server 2. The server 2 acquires the transmitted file to store the acquired file, in response to a request from a terminal 4 at an information receiver side, transmits the stored file and transmits the IP address which is attached in the file. The terminal 4 at the information receiver side acquires the transmitted file to acquire the IP address attached in the transmitted file, and acquires various information from the terminal 3 at the information provider side on the basis of the acquired IP address.
