PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception system which can detect altogether noises of different characteristics included in an input signal by one detecting means, to perform appropriate signal processing according to the detected noises, to realize a smaller size system with cost reduction, and moreover, to perform noise detection with an accuracy higher than before. SOLUTION: The reception system comprises a main signal line 20 which includes a frequency converting means 21 for converting an input signal to an IF (intermediate frequency) signal, an intermediate frequency processing means 23, and a demodulating means 24. The system is equipped with a noise detecting means 31 for processing the IF signal to detect noises, and a signal processing means 32 for performing signal processing for noise elimination according to the characteristics of each noise detected by the noise detecting means 31.
