PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an IC connector which is capable of being connected surely with light handling force without applying excessive loading to the leads of the IC package. SOLUTION: An IC connector comprises a body member 10 in which a package holder 13 is formed with an opening upward and receives an IC package 3 removably; a plurality of contacts 20 of which the respective base end sides are fixed on the right and left sides of a body member 10, and the respective top end sides are extended inward toward the inside of the package reception portion 13 and are bent so as to be upward-downward deformable elastically; and a cover member 20 which is rockably pivoted by a pivot shaft 14 to be upwardly downwardly, openable and closable, and in an opening state, is fixed to be engageable and disengageable, and further it can be closed so as to cover the upper portion of the package holder 13.
