<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high efficient water treatment tank having a compact vertical two-stage structure and performing composite treatment, which solves a problem of a required area and maintenance troubles derived from efficiency deterioration and cost increase, due to increase in the area for water treatment caused by the system configuration for the water treatment where, in many cases, independently performed various unit operations are connected to each other and various treatment tanks are connected laterally. <P>SOLUTION: In the conventional box water treatment tank having a vertical overflow weir, an inclined weir is newly installed so that it overhangs obliquely upward in such a way covering the half of the tank from the top of the overflow weir, thereby primary treatment water flowing down along the upper surface of the inclined weir. The primary treatment water can be subjected to secondary treatment, using a space above the inclined weir, such as filtration comprising biomenbrane filtration, adsorption, ion exchange, catalytic reaction, crystallization, and ultraviolet irradiation. For example, in the case of organic waste water treatment, a filter bed for the biomenbrane filtration is installed over the inclined weir and aerated from under the inclined weir, which enables a sprinkling filtration method in succession from an activated sludge method to realize high efficient compact water treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
