PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference voltage circuit with less consumption current and a small circuit area. SOLUTION: When a value of resistance 5 increases by temperature rise, a current Ia running through a P channel MOS transistor (PMOS) 3 is reduced. In accordance with this, the current running through a transistor 8 via a resistance 9 from a PMOS 6 is also reduced. Since the value of the resistance 9 increases to exceed the resistance 5 by the temperature rise, a voltage generated to the resistance 9 increases instead. However, as the transistor 9 has a negative temperature coefficient, a voltage generated to the transistor 9 decreases. Thus, by appropriately setting the values and the temperature coefficients of the resistances 5 and 9, a reference voltage VREF1 which is not affected by the temperature can be outputted without increasing the consumption current and the circuit area.
