PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen counter where deformation, discoloration, etc. never occurs even when placing a hot pot, etc. on a level difference counter made of artificial marble. SOLUTION: In the counter for a system kitchen, the level difference counter 1 provided by forming a level difference at a top plate 2 and consisting of an upper stage horizontal part 13, a tilting part 12 and a lower stage horizontal part 11 is constituted of the artificial marble, and a metallic baffle plate 14 is made to project at the upper stage horizontal part 13 so as to project over the lower stage horizontal part 11. It is desirable that the metallic baffle plate 14 has an end face along its longitudinal direction supported elastically between the upper stage horizontal part 13 and the top plate 2 via a packing 3 detachably in a state where a projecting length is variable.
