PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a casing member and a holding member for an image forming apparatus light, to improve oscillation absorptivity, to reduce aworking cost, to take measures to cope withrecycling, and to take measures to cope with radiated electromagnetic noise, while keeping the rigidity of the casing cover member and the holding member of the image forming device or the like such as a copying machine and a printer. SOLUTION: The casing member and the holding member are provided where intermediate members made of pulp materials or foaming materials are arranged between a plurality of metallic members. In the case of the casing member, the intermediate member is constituted of a bottom board member and a plurality of partitioning members provided on the bottom board member, and hollow parts are formed between the plurality of metallic members by the plurality of partitioning members. In the case of the holding member, the intermediate member is so formed that its thickness before being interposed between the metallic members is larger than the thickness of gaps to be formed by metallic members, and the intermediate member is interposed, it is compressed and is arranged between metallic members.
