PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot antenna device which can be miniaturized and be made thin while maintaining high transmission/reception performance by improving the arrangement relationship between an antenna itself and a circuit board to be mounted together with the antenna in a radio device, and to provide a radio device using this antenna device. SOLUTION: The antenna 11b is a slot antenna in which a slot 112 is formed in the longitudinal direction of a conductor plate 111. The conductor 111 is bent in a surface direction at a bending portion 113, and the slot 112 has openings in two directions. The circuit board 12 in which a radio device circuit is configured is inserted into the inside of the slot 112, and the inside is in a state of being filled with dielectrics. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
