PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor reduced in size which can provid a short distance between connection terminals by providing sufficiently a large surface distance complying with an electrical appliance and material control laws while coping with high ripples. SOLUTION: In the capacitor with a screw terminal including a couple of connecting terminals with screws arranged at one end surface, the direction of a screw hole of the connection terminal is almost orthogonal to the lead-out direction of the connection terminal and is located in the external side thereof. Moreover, an area except for the entrance surface of the screw hole or an area near to the entrance surface is coated, filled, molded or engraved with an insulation resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
