An air conditioning system has a first climate-controlled closed-circuit with a heat exchanger removing heat from circulating air. The heat exchange is esp. coupled with an open lower-pressure process consisting of an expansion turbine which is located prior to the heat exchanger and a compressor which is located after the heat exchanger. Also claimed is an air conditioning system with a climatically-controlled circuit with a heat exchanger to take up heat energy from an open over-pressure circuit and has a compressor located upstream from the heat exchanger and an expansion turbine downstream from the heat exchanger. Also claimed is an air conditioning process.
