<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant that can reduce battery consumption by applying power only when a user actually uses it. <P>SOLUTION: Contact sensor means sense contact of a human body with a casing, and face orientation sensor means sense orientation of a human to display means. When a power saving mode indicating a minimum power supply to a body is set, and when the contact sensor means do not sense contact with the casing or the face orientation sensor means do not sense orientation of a human to the display means, power supply to currently unused unnecessary parts is cut off or reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
