PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure of a battery outer packaging case which improves a cubic energy density of a battery packaged by cutting down an occupied area of a bonded part, without giving any large stress at the bonded part made by heat-sealing a peripheral edge part of a metal complex film. SOLUTION: Both sides of a generating element 11 laminating a positive electrode plate 11A and a negative electrode plate 11B with a separator 11C interposed in between are covered with metal complex films 12, 13. In sealing the generating element 11 with the outer packaging case 18 with peripheral edge parts 12a, 13a of the metal complex films 12, 13 bonded together by a heat seal, a frame body 30 is made interposed between the heat-sealing peripheral edge parts 12a, 13a of the metal complex films 12, 13, and, joint parts 16 of the metal complex films 12, 13 are deformed along the outside of the frame body 30, so as to exert a sealing function together with the frame body 30, and at the same time, curtail their protrusion width and prevent the peripheral edge parts 12a, 13a from being folded hard.
