PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger of which a volume is reduced to remarkably improve its heat exchanging efficiency. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger comprises an upper header having a refrigerant inflow port and distributing the refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant inflow port, a number of heat exchanging pipes respectively connected to the upper head at their upper ends and vertically extended, a lower head connected to lower ends of the heat exchanging pipes, collecting the refrigerant flowing from the heat exchanging pipes and having a refrigerant outlet port, and a water supply device connected to upper outer faces of the heat exchange pipes, and supplying the water into the heat exchanging pipes to allow the water to flow along the outer faces of the heat exchanging pipes, so that the water absorbs the heat from the refrigerant flowing inside of the heat exchanging pipes.
