PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material, such as a backing material for an outer wall(a house lap sheet) and a backing material for a roof, which shows high total light transmittance while retaining satisfactory moisture permeability. SOLUTION: This moisture-permeable waterproof sheet is a laminate composed of (A) a porous polyolefin film layer and (B) a polyolefin nonwoven fabric layer and the total light transmittance measured based on a method stipulated by JIS K-7105 after lamination into one piece is at least 40% and the moisture permeability measured based on a method set down by ASTM E-96 is at least 800g/m<SP>2</SP>/24 hr.
