There is disclosed a wiper blade apparatus (1). The wiper blade apparatus is suitable for use with protective headgear, the headgear for example includin g a visor. The apparatus disclosed includes a visor (2), at least one wiper blade (3), a motor (4) for driving the wiper blade (3) and attachment means (5) for attaching the apparatus (1) to the headgear (10) and for retaining t he visor (2) of the apparatus (1) on a visor (11) of the headgear (10). The device of the invention can be fitted to a motorcycle helmet.
